P2027: I’ll avoid politics of insults, personal attacks… Gombe APC Guber candidate vows

Ahead of the commencement of political campaign for the 2027 Governorship and State Assembly elections, the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna has promised to operate a campaign devoid of hate, bickering and personal attacks.
Instead, Dr. Jamilu vowed to engage in issue-based, people-centred, and solutions-driven politicking and campaigns that will give no room for needless distractions.
He made the declaration through his Spokesman, Ibrahim Sani Shawai, in a statement heralding the commencement of the Presidential and National Assembly campaigns.
In the statement sent to Journalists, Gwamna said, “the people of Gombe State deserve a campaign that speaks to their concerns, addresses their needs and presents a clear vision for a better future”.
Dr. Jamilu also made it clear that. “From the very beginning, I had committed to run an issues-based campaign. I have no interest in politics of insults, personal attacks, or needless distractions.
“That commitment remains as firm today as it was on the day it was made and continues to define the direction of our campaign,” he said stressing that the guiding principle remains Gombe Above All.
According to him, his campaign would focus on issues that matter to the people, including job creation, economic growth, youth and women empowerment, agriculture and livestock development, education, healthcare, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, investment and innovation.
He then called on the people of Gombe State to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who is contesting for Gombe North Senatorial seat, as well as all other APC candidates contesting for the Senate and House of Representatives.
“Once the Gubernatorial and State Assembly campaigns commence, we will unveil a comprehensive blueprint for Gombe State, anchored on Continuity, Sustainability and Consolidation”, the statement revealed.
The blueprint, he explained, will build on the achievements of the present administration under Governor Inuwa Yahaya, while introducing practical solutions to create more opportunities, improve living standards and ensure development reaches every part of Gombe State.
