Get Your PVC Ready, APC Gov’ship Candidate Urges Nigerians
By Bappa Song
An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Ahmed Tijjani Galadima, has called on Nigerians to obtain and update their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Galadima made the appeal as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues the third and final phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise across the country.
The nationwide exercise, which resumed on May 11, 2026, is scheduled to end on July 10, 2026. It allows eligible citizens to register as new voters, transfer voting locations, update personal information, and replace lost or damaged PVCs.
In a statement, Galadima described the PVC as a vital tool for democratic participation and urged citizens not to wait until the last minute before registering.
“As the 2027 general elections draw nearer, I urge every eligible citizen to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration process. If you have not obtained your Permanent Voter’s Card, this is the time to do so,” he said.
He also advised voters whose cards were lost, damaged or require corrections to visit designated registration centers for necessary updates.
According to him, the PVC remains the key requirement for participating in elections and determining the future of the country.
“Your PVC is your voice, your power and your tool for shaping the future of our dear state and nation,” Galadima stated.
The APC chieftain further called on parents, guardians, community leaders and other stakeholders to encourage their families and neighbors to participate in the voter registration exercise.
He said increased voter participation would strengthen democracy and ensure that citizens play an active role in governance through the ballot box.
Galadima urged Nigerians to take advantage of the remaining registration period and prepare to exercise their civic responsibility during the 2027 general elections.
He expressed optimism that greater participation in the electoral process would contribute to a more united, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.
